Caterers

Local Caterers

While you are free to use whomever you’d like, these caterers have all worked in the Alexandria History Museum at The Lyceum and are thus familiar with the building and its capabilities and limitations. It’s always a good idea to meet in the museum with your caterer before your event; caterers who have not worked here previously are required to meet with the museum’s Facilities Coordinator before your event.

Music, etc.

You can have a DJ or band, and can hire a dance floor to be brought in, if you want. Candles are permitted, as is red wine.

Accessibility

The museum is wheelchair accessible to the first and second floor public areas. A light-duty passenger elevator to second floor accommodates non-motorized wheelchairs only. The City of Alexandria complies with the terms of ADA. For reasonable disability accommodation, contact our staff at Alex 311 or 703.746.4554, Virginia Relay 711.
